glory, osufactor, i'm not sure what to write about!!
but thanks for the ego boost. glad somebody's reading this shit :D har har.
OH here's something... i'm trying my hand at writing something for a string quartet, but er... well it's a little contemporary. that doesn't mean it's metal (though it could be), but it's sort of messy. yeah. plus i'll have to rewrite it later because of the fucking alto clef and the damned five-steps-down viola. actually i'm trying to make the viola more prominent than it usually is... poor little viola. damn violins get all the glory... so anyway the cello and viola are carrying it with 1st violin doing some fluffy stuff on top.
yup. somehow i doubt i'll ever finish this, as i don't have a platform for it and would honestly be embarrassed to give it to a real quartet, but hey. we'll see.

Go for it! Who cares if it doesn't turn into anything. Just be sure not to go with pure hobbies or interests, but things that can also potentially lead to future work, ie your magazine writing etc!
I don't know much about metal or classical music, but they sure aren't hip hop!
